Welcome to 4A!
This year our school-wide theme is "Explore! Experience! Evaluate!" which is inspired by Psalm 34:8. As a class we will be exploring this theme in addition to our Grade 4 storyline: "Impact."
Throughout our lessons and class discussions, we will talk about how we can impact this world for Jesus. Discovering ways and considering how our words, thoughts and actions have an impact on ourselves and those around us.
John 15:12 says "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." This verse is our starting point. We will be exploring practical ways to show the love of Christ to others. With the focus on making an "IMPACT" for Jesus in the world around us.
I have been married to my husband Richard for 14 years and we have two daughters who are in grades 3 and 5 at Calvin.
After graduation, I taught grade six for four years in the Seven Oaks School Division. When my oldest daughter was born, I stayed at home to take care of our growing family. I have been involved in the Calvin community since 2014. This includes volunteering in classrooms, attending various field trips/special events and most recently, doing library checkout. I have been a substitute teacher at Calvin for the past year which has given me the opportunity to work with some of the students in our class.
We have been attending Eastview Community Church for seven years and currently lead a young adults care-group. Oven the summer, I took up golf. Let’s just say I need a few more lessons!
