Our Christian faith is the foundation or reason CCS exists. Because Christ is sovereign over all areas of life, we want to bring Him into every subject area and aspect of school life. It's a blessing that we can talk openly and freely about our faith at school and how God wants us to live out that faith.
Bible Memory
Memorizing scripture is an important part of spiritual growth and responsibility of Christians. When we know scripture, we know God more intimately and what the desire of His heart is. In grade 4, students are asked to recite and explain the meaning of a weekly Bible verse (NIV). The passages will be posted in the weekly newsletter for practice at home and we will discuss the meaning in class.
In our daily classroom devotional time, we read scripture, talk about who God is and lift one another up in prayer.
Singing Devotions
On day 4's, we can come together to worship and celebrate who God is with the grades 4,5 and 6s.
